Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Fund and Product Operations Associate to join our LGIM division with Real Assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding the Fund and Product Operations Lead in the operational planning and execution of new funds and products within the Real Assets sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operations and finance in alternative and real asset investment funds and products across Europe, with experience of relevant corporate governance structures. They will be proactive, capable of working in concert with various internal and external stakeholders on a broad spectrum of issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Fund and Product Operations Lead, along with the Product, Solutions, and Real Assets Strategy team, in achieving growth objectives for Real Assets and Private Markets.
  • Consider the impact of regulatory, tax, and other market developments on both existing and new products.
  • Ensure that relevant governance and agreements, such as process documents and legal and service level agreements with outsourced service providers, are updated where necessary to reflect changes to operating models.
  • Regularly evaluate the suitability of the target operating model, collaborating with the Change team to enact updated and enhanced procedures, processes, and systems as necessary, consistent with industry-leading practices.
  • Ensure implementation of governance procedures, taking into account local regulations and advice received.
  • Assist with the coordination and smooth running of launch board meetings.
  • Assistance is required for the onboarding of new third-party service providers at LGIM, providing details on financial processes, invoicing procedures, and other operational necessities to guarantee that all essential contracts, certifications, and compliance forms are accurately filled out by the new third-party service providers.
  • Drive the production of service level agreements with new service providers and establish suitable KPIs to enable ongoing monitoring of service levels.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or similar).
  • Some technical and operational knowledge/experience relevant to the role required, e.g., open or closed-ended investment fund experience, experience of relevant corporate governance structures.
  • Experience of operations and finance in alternative and real asset investment funds and products across Europe; Luxembourg-specific experience beneficial.
  • Resourceful with highly developed problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to issues that arise.
