We are seeking a dynamic and experienced mental health nurse to join our Transformation Unit as a Band 6 nursing lead.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse to take on a leadership position in our acute male mental health ward based at Tameside General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the inpatient nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide leadership and guidance to the inpatient nursing team.
  • To ensure the delivery of high-quality care to service users, including developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • To work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
  • Experience of working in acute mental health settings.
  • Good understanding of mental illness and knowledge of treatments and interventions.
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and CPA process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
