Job Overview

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Swansea Bay University Health Board Finance Team as part of the Operational Finance Team (OFT). Following approval by the Charitable Funds Committee, a new Band 3 post has been created to support the Charitable Funds Finance Analyst.

Main Duties

The Charitable Funds Finance Officer will be an integral part of the Swansea Bay University (SBU) Health Board Charity finance team, providing financial and administrative support to ensure the appropriate allocation and expenditure of donated funds to Swansea Bay Health Board Charity.

The post holder will work closely with the Charity Team, SBU Finance, Accounts payable and Procurement staff, as well as with Fund Advisors, donors, and other key staff, to maximise patient benefit through the effective management of charitable income streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial administration support to the Charitable Funds Finance Analyst
  • Process financial information accurately and in accordance with procedures
  • Liaise with the Health Board's Charity team to provide advice and support on governance around fundraising and other charity team functions
