About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled 2nd Line IT Service Engineer to join our team at Michael Page (UK) in Central Birmingham. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide expert end-user IT support on a wide range of technologies, both remotely and on-site at our Birmingham HQ.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users on a variety of IT systems, including Windows Server, Windows 10, Office365, and bespoke applications.
- Work closely with the 3rd Line Engineering team to resolve complex technical issues and implement new technologies.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement ITIL-based processes and procedures.
- Participate in regular hands-on work, such as building laptops for new starters and on-site network cabling.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with end-users, providing exceptional communication skills and technical expertise.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Windows Server 2016, 2019 (basic administration), Windows 10 / 11, Active Directory / AzureAD, Office365, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- ITIL experience and IP Telephony Phone Administration are desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
