Forensic Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our inpatient population within the medium secure services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and assessment & management for inpatients and the wider responsibilities of the forensic service locally, including prisons and community forensic mental health teams.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to offer medical leadership, assessment, and management for inpatients and the wider responsibilities of the forensic service locally.
- Develop and implement sustainable specialist forensic services for the population of North Wales.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, with a budget of £1.7 billion and a workforce of over 19,000 staff. We provide a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute, and specialist hospital services across 3 acute hospitals, 22 community hospitals, and a network of over 90 health centres, clinics, community health team bases, and mental health units.
Requirements- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of completing CCT.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
