Yeovil College is seeking an experienced Academic Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery of high-quality English and Maths education in its Foundation Learning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing programmes, ensuring that learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive tailored support to thrive.

In this key role, you'll oversee the delivery of engaging and effective English and Maths lessons, utilising the latest teaching practices to support SEND learners in their learning journey. Alongside this, you'll support learners in line with college procedures, fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. You will also play a critical role in tracking course recruitment, attendance, retention, and achievement, ensuring performance targets are met and addressing any concerns with the Curriculum Area Manager. What We're Looking For:
  • Experience of teaching students with SEND in either mainstream school, college or a specialist provision
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills
