At Building Careers UK, we are seeking an experienced Cost Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to take on a senior role and contribute to the success of our roofing and cladding projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management, with a strong understanding of roofing and cladding systems, materials, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial aspects of roofing and cladding projects from start to completion
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing for roofing and cladding works
  • Oversight of tendering, procurement, and contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitor project costs, track progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Prepare valuations, manage variations, and produce final accounts for projects
  • Provide cost control and value engineering solutions to optimize project delivery
  • Collaboration with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve cost-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health & safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the roofing, cladding, or construction sector
  • Strong understanding of roofing and cladding systems, materials, and processes
  • Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and procurement
  • Proficient with industry-specific software and Microsoft Office

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
