Job Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, providing care and support to patients with urinary system cancers.

Main Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialist, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide care and support to patients with urinary system cancers, ensuring a smooth progression through their cancer journey.
  • Coordinate necessary assessments, investigations, and appointments to ensure timely treatment.
  • Work closely with patients, relatives, and colleagues to maintain patient safety and a positive experience.
  • Contribute to the holistic needs assessment, care plan, and review of patients in line with practitioner guidance.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience working in a caring setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and meet the minimum skill set within the first twelve months of appointment.
