Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Pathologist to join our team as a Cancer Diagnostic Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer diagnostic services and play a key role in shaping the future direction of our department.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in diagnostic pathology and a strong track record of delivering high-quality results. They will be responsible for providing expert advice on complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of strategic objectives for the directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer diagnostic services, ensuring timely and accurate results
- Provide expert advice on complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in diagnostic pathology
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognised medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration and a licence to practise
- FRCPath or equivalent certification
- Significant experience in diagnostic pathology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
