About the Role
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team as a Rehabilitation Assistant. The successful candidate will be based in Maryport Community Rehabilitation team but will also be expected to cover across the Cockermouth and Maryport ICC when needed.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about rehabilitation with older people, providing support to individuals who have long-term needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to meet the needs of a 7-day service.

The estimated salary for this role is £22,150-£29,330 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will have access to excellent opportunities for development, a competitive NHS Pension scheme, and a range of benefits including a lease car, 27-day holiday scheme, and flexible working arrangements.

The key responsibilities of this role include assisting healthcare professionals with patient care, implementing rehabilitation plans, and supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living. The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post, with hours of work on a rota covering a shift pattern between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Key Requirements
- QCF level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in rehabilitation
- Ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality

- Genuine desire to work with older people and support equality and value diversity
- Prepared to undertake QCF level 3 in Health, Social, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support within 3 years of appointment
