Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom DiSRUPT Recruitment Agency | B Corp Full time
Company Overview
Beyond is a youth mental health charity tackling the growing mental health crisis affecting young people in the UK. We strive to address the lack of access to mental health support and create opportunities for early and personalised interventions, guided by our commitment to transforming society's approach to youth mental health.

Schools Programme
We know that early intervention can have a significant and lasting positive effect on the life of a young person and those around them. We aim to provide educational settings with crucial access to the mental health interventions required via our Schools' Programme to ensure this urgent need is met.

This role is open to CAMHS and youth psychiatrists, psychologists and senior clinicians. It is particularly suitable for those clinicians with an interest in prevention and helping to bridge the gap between secondary mental health care and the voluntary sector. It is an opportunity to bring your clinical skills, leadership and expertise to a dynamic and effective team making a real difference to young people's mental health.

Estimated salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.

Youth Mental Health Directory
We created the first cross-sector directory of mental health services available for young people across the UK. Our directory offers comprehensive coverage of services, from 1:1 counselling to art therapy, ensuring individual needs are met. We list over 300 providers and each one is vetted by a dedicated clinician.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Beyond's mission and dedication to improving youth mental health outcomes. They will also have strong connections to, and understanding of, the marginalized community they represent.

Key responsibilities include:
• Clinical guidance: Support our Head of Operations to approve our directory of mental health providers, ensuring information is accurate and reviewing shortlisted providers.
• Supporting Beyond to identify and cultivate a diverse range of provisions and providers within the directory who represent disadvantaged groups.
• Review all of our psycho-educational materials once a year ahead of our annual schools festival, Now and Beyond.
• Provide expert advice to the board and CEO on clinical matters and best practices in youth mental health where needed.

• Strategy and development: Bring first hand understanding of healthcare disparities and challenges faced by marginalised young people that will help the charity's strategic goal to achieve equitable access to support.
• Identify emerging trends, research, and best practices in youth mental health care and advise on how these can be incorporated into Beyond's work.
• Safeguarding and risk management: Agree to be our Deputy Safeguarding Lead (our CEO is DSL) and advise on safeguarding policies and practices, tailoring approaches to address specific vulnerabilities and barriers to protection where appropriate.
• Advocacy and representation: Act as an ambassador for Beyond, representing the charity and promoting Beyond's mission.
