Do you have a strong background in clinical leadership or advisory roles and a passion for youth mental health advocacy? We are seeking a Trustee with a focus on clinical expertise to join our Board at DiSRUPT Recruitment Agency | B Corp.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and effective team making a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in advising us on clinical matters and bringing unique perspectives rooted in your lived experiences as a member of an underrepresented or disadvantaged group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have significant experience in clinical leadership or advisory roles, ideally within a charitable, healthcare, or youth-focused setting. They will also have a deep understanding of mental health challenges facing young people and clinical best practices, as well as emerging trends in the sector.

  • A strong connection to and understanding of marginalized communities is highly desirable.
  • A passion for Beyond's mission and dedication to improving youth mental health outcomes are essential.

Responsibilities include:

Clinical Guidance:
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in reviewing and updating the directory of mental health providers.
  • Providing expert advice to the Board and CEO on clinical matters and best practices in youth mental health.
Strategy and Development:
  • Bringing firsthand understanding of healthcare disparities and challenges faced by marginalized young people to inform our strategic goals.
  • Identifying emerging trends, research, and best practices in youth mental health care and advising on their incorporation into our work.
Safeguarding and Risk Management:
  • Agreeing to be the Deputy Safeguarding Lead and working closely with the DSL and senior leadership team.
  • Advising on safeguarding policies and practices tailored to address specific vulnerabilities and barriers to protection.
Advocacy and Representation:
  • Acting as an ambassador for Beyond and representing the charity and promoting its mission.

Salary: Approximately £45,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
