Business Development Manager

At Vanilla Recruitment (UK) Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Client Manager to join our business advisory services in Lincoln. This role will involve developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring all aspects of their accounting, business support, and growth needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client meetings face-to-face and virtually to engage with potential new clients and support existing clients.
- Respond to enquiries from prospective and existing clients.
- Ensure appropriate and profitable pricing strategies for new and existing clients.
- Manage the workflow of client portfolios, including pre-year-end meetings, preparation and submission of annual accounts, tax returns, and liaising with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients.
- Complete self-assessment tax returns, HMRC Let Property Campaign, and 60-day CGT returns.
- Perform bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS services for assigned clients as and when needed.
- Attend networking meetings and events to raise awareness of the organisation.
- Provide support to management and team members when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience within an accountancy practice with exposure to personal tax computations.
- AAT qualified or studying, or QBE.
- Up-to-date tax knowledge.
- Understanding of Karbon, Xero, TaxCalc, QuickBooks, and Dext desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Key attention to detail.
