We are seeking a highly motivated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience, as well as a strong understanding of SEMH and experience working with students with similar needs. They will be able to provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require extra help, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour
- Assisting students with SEMH challenges, particularly those with associated needs
- Providing individualised support to students who require additional help
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop strategies that promote student wellbeing and achievement
This role offers a competitive salary of £13.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. We also offer ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure you continue to grow and thrive in your role.
