About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Intravenous Access Specialist Nurse to join our team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and education in the field of intravenous access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the intravenous access service, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.
  • Develop and implement education programs for healthcare staff on intravenous access and related topics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines related to intravenous access.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Teaching and mentorship qualification.
  • Substantial experience in managing intravenous access issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
