About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner to lead our Intravenous Access team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and education in the field of intravenous access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the intravenous access service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
  • Develop and implement policies and guidelines for the management of intravenous access devices.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to colleagues and patients.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and standards for intravenous access.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead education and development programs for healthcare staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Teaching and mentorship qualification.
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (desirable).
  • Advanced Life Support Course (desirable).
  • Substantial experience in managing intravenous access issues.
  • Ability to work across professional boundaries.
