Job Title: Head of College Operations

Job Summary:

The Engineering Institute of Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of College Operations. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in the establishment, management, and growth of our UK-based operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership within and on behalf of the College, driving the implementation of the strategic and business plans, and innovation for growth.
  • Operational Management: Take primary responsibility for the management of the affairs of the College, including human resources, health, safety, wellbeing, and risk management.
  • Financial Management: Manage the College funds in accordance with delegated authority, ensuring the College's financial sustainability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the designated accountable officer to the Office for Students in all matters relating to the registration of the College and the use of any public funding.
  • Leadership and Governance: Maintain strong governance structures, leadership teams, and management arrangements within the College, including chairing regular meetings with the management team.
  • Team Management: Manage the full- and part-time managerial, academic, administrative, and support staff of the College.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Promote the best interests of the College by building constructive and positive relationships with key external stakeholders in industry, academia, and regulatory bodies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree qualified
  • Demonstrated, in-depth experience in a similar role
  • Self-motivated and able to confidently lead and grow the team
  • Strong strategic planning and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management
  • Able to work autonomously with remote teams
  • Adaptable with a 'Can Do' attitude, able to deal effectively with challenges and setbacks
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
