Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our Teaching, Learning and Quality team as Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in teaching, learning, and curriculum across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a cross-organisational team of Teaching and Learning Coaches to provide coaching and development to curriculum areas and teachers.
- Develop and deliver a professional development programme that is rooted in evidence-informed practice and enables a culture of self-reflection and collaboration.
- Support curriculum areas with their delivery of professional development programmes and coordinate the sharing of best practice across the organisation.
- Establish and utilise connections with external networks and organisations to enrich the scope and diversity of the professional development offer.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of teacher development activity and deliver the teacher induction programme.
- A passion for education and a strong understanding of teaching and assessment in the further education setting.
- A strong track record of excellent teaching and learning with evidence of inspiring and challenging teaching practice, whilst achieving high levels of student success.
- Experience of curriculum, course design, and assessment that meets awarding body requirements.
- Be committed to and proactive in the development of own practice through professional development.
- Experience of the use of coaching to support teacher development and a Level 5 teaching qualification.
