Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager to join our TPS branch in Tunbridge Wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations in a busy retail parts branch, ensuring maximum sales of parts to trade and retail outlets, and providing exceptional customer care and satisfaction.
- Lead a team comprising Sales Manager, Warehouse Operatives, Sales/Customer Service Reps, and Drivers.
- Maximise sales of parts to trade and retail outlets.
- Achieve the highest level of customer care and satisfaction.
- Manage parts stock levels and keep debtors to a minimum.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all department administration and operational data.
- Develop a marketing and publicity strategy to promote all products and services effectively.
- Brief the team regarding department objectives and provide regular feedback on achievements.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with representatives from VWG/TPS.
- Recruit, induct, and perform employee management duties, aiming to stabilise staff turnover by leading a motivated, productive, and rewarded team.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced parts professional with leadership experience, from either a franchised dealership or a retail parts business. You will demonstrate the following skills:
