We are recruiting experienced and caring individuals to join our team as SEMH Teaching Assistants at an independent SEN School in the borough of Barking & Dagenham. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and nurturing their development.

About the Job:
  • Hours: 08:15 - 16:15
  • Salary: £25,500 - £27,000 per annum (PAYE)
  • Location: Dagenham and Romford
Responsibilities:
  1. To provide personalized support and guidance to pupils with SEMH needs.
  2. To work closely with teaching staff to create and implement tailored plans for each pupil.
  3. To be part of a supportive team environment that promotes a child-centric approach.
About Our School:

We are an independent special school dedicated to delivering high-quality education and support for children and young people with EHCPs for SEMH and ASC needs. Our school has two sites, one in Dagenham and another in Romford.

Your Qualifications and Skills:
  • Desirable experience in Speech and Language, PECS, SEMH, and ASC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate approach when working with vulnerable pupils.
