Job Title: Mental Health Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Scottish Action for Mental Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support individuals in hospital, home, and community-based settings, using lived experience and goal-setting approaches.

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide recovery-focused support to service users, promoting autonomy and empowerment.
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with service users, utilizing formalized peer support models.
- Facilitate group work or individual sessions to aid individuals in their recovery journey, promoting skill-building and self-confidence.

Key Requirements:
- Respect and dignity for service users.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Autonomous working within Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT), with the capacity to motivate and inspire others.
