Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in accordance with the Better Lives framework, promoting and delivering goal-based support to enable adults to achieve greater independence. They will also promote equality and treat everyone with fairness and dignity, providing a proactive and personalized approach to the delivery of care and practice.

Main Responsibilities

Our Occupational Therapy service has undergone significant transformation to move away from traditional models of service delivery, assessment, and intervention, to embracing a culture of innovation and positive risk-taking. We aim to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care, supporting adults to enhance their independence and overall well-being.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and a full driving license with access to a vehicle
  • Experience: Commitment to continuous professional development, ability to demonstrate a commitment to individual and reflective supervision, enhanced DBS check, and ability to work flexibly where needed to facilitate seven-day working
  • Knowledge and skills: Understanding of Social Work England's/HCP's professional standards and a commitment to upholding them in practice, demonstrable experience in relationship and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with adults and their families, and knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults in a statutory setting
