Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our Acute Medical team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Physios and the innovative Home First team to provide exceptional patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess acute medical in-patients and provide recommendations for discharge or in-patient rehabilitation, liaising with community services.
  • Support your team in clinical assessments and develop your own interests with the guidance of the Occupational Therapy manager.
  • Lead and develop a dynamic team, supervising and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary team management of long-term disability and its consequences.
  • Identify professional limitations and seek advice when necessary.
  • Take responsibility for clinical projects, audit, or research.
  • Analyse and interpret clinical information to inform treatment approaches.
