Job Summary:

We are seeking a Submarine Design Engineer to join our team in Frimley, working on multi-billion pound submarine programs.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for estimating, collating, and presenting mass properties data for several multi-billion pound submarine programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with system design engineers to accurately estimate mass, centroid, and design maturity of multiple mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of parts mass properties.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to provide a whole boat picture of weight risk and opportunity to senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers.

Your Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • A STEM subject qualification or extensive experience is required.
  • CEng/IEng status or a clear pathway to achieving professional recognition is necessary.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • Knowledge of CAD packages and programs is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £65,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and employee discounts.
