Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Officer - Administration to join our team. This role is a term time, permanent position completing 35 hours per week, commencing as soon as practicable.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level administrative support, demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy, and dependability.
- Liaise with visitors, parents, staff, and students to the College, presenting a professional image and creating a welcoming, warm, and positive impression.
- Represent the school in a professional, warm, friendly, and efficient manner, delivering high-quality customer service.
- Support the delivery of operational tasks associated with reception and administration, including mail management and distribution, responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries, and dealing professionally with and directing enquiries of parents, visitors, and contractors.
- Provide administration support that meets the day-to-day requirements of the school, including coordinating dissemination of information to staff and students, producing documents, and assisting with financial transactional processes.
- Support the delivery of tasks associated with community events and school functions, administer first aid where necessary, monitor inventory for stationery and first aid supplies, and assist in student reception, uniform shop, and other administration roles.
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
- Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
- First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
- Fire safety training preferred or the ability to attain training.
- Recent administration and/or reception experience in a school or other environment.
