Autism Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Education Mentor to join our team in Barnet. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with autism and other special education needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established Special Resource Provision within a mainstream school. You will be working closely with the teaching team to deliver a highly differentiated curriculum focusing on developing social cognition.
About the School Provision:
The Special Resource Provision is an additionally resourced provision within the mainstream school, offering up to 49 places for pupils with autistic spectrum conditions. The provision provides a medium-risk setting that allows students to access learning and support from within the unit.
Curriculum:
The students follow a highly differentiated curriculum focusing on developing social cognition through the SCERTS framework and the Social Thinking curriculum. Most Special Provision students will also follow ASDAN/CoPE courses, the Personal and Social Development curriculum, and the Employability and Work-Related Learning curriculum.
Salary and Benefits:
£85-£100 per day. Parking available at school site.
