About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineering Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Propulsor team, you will be responsible for supporting the design manufacture and in-service support for propulsors across multiple platforms.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
  • Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, including an estimated £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, as well as a range of benefits such as a pension scheme, annual leave allowance, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

About the Team

The Propulsor team is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, using various pieces of design software, and involved in manufacturing and installation activities. We provide a full cradle to grave level of support to all things related to propulsors.

Job Description
  1. Develop and maintain engineering standards and processes
  2. Lead and support the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  4. Support the implementation of new technologies and methodologies
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
