Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Gang Prevention and Mental Health Support
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Teaching Assistant - Gang Prevention and Mental Health Support, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Support the development of social skills, confidence, and motivation in students.
- Participate in team meetings and training programs to ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
- Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the well-being of all students.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Criminology.
- Knowledge and understanding of various learning and behavioral needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
