Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Gang Prevention and Mental Health Support

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Teaching Assistant - Gang Prevention and Mental Health Support, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Support the development of social skills, confidence, and motivation in students.
  • Participate in team meetings and training programs to ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the well-being of all students.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Criminology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various learning and behavioral needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
