We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Family Specialist to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our social services department, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families across the county.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of social work methodologies, social care policies, and relevant legislation. They will be able to effectively assess and manage risk, as well as develop creative and pragmatic solutions to meet the needs of our service users.

About the Role
  • Salary: £38,700 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Permanent & Fixed Term
Key Responsibilities
  1. Support and guide vulnerable children and families
  2. Assess and manage risk to ensure the safety and well-being of service users
  3. Develop and implement effective plans to meet the needs of service users
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Qualification in Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle
