About the Role

The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Associate Specialist Psychiatrist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of a safe, effective, and caring service to young people with mental health difficulties and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver individually tailored treatment plans.
  • Work as part of a friendly and supportive team, including nurses, clinical psychologists, OTs, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities, engage in medical appraisal and revalidation, and attend the Trust's academic program.
  • Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and abide by professional codes of conduct.
  • Work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services and share medical contributions to management.
  • Recognize and take responsibility for safeguarding children, young people, and adults, using appropriate systems for identifying, sharing information, recording, and raising concerns.
  • Apply equality and diversity legislation, including disability discrimination requirements, in the context of patient care and maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding Equality and Diversity.
