About the Role

We are seeking two highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrists to join our newly enhanced paediatric mental health liaison teams at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary of up to £170,000 per annum, in addition to a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, and a relocation allowance of up to £8,000. The trust also offers a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, opportunities for professional development, and access to a range of employee assistance programs.

Main Duties

The CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments and consultations to children, young people, and their families in an acute hospital setting. This will involve working collaboratively with other members of the team and acute hospital staff to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A medical degree (MB BS or equivalent)
  • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Approved under S12 or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment

Additionally, applicants must have excellent knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
