Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a leading Therapeutic Education Service in Stockport. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and personalized education programme for pupils aged between 5-17 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, working with small groups and individual students to promote confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers, and write detailed reports to track student progress.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and mental wellbeing skills, and provide specialized interventions to address trauma and complex emotional difficulties.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain strong communication with parents and carers regarding their children's progress.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
  • QTS/QTLS is essential.
  • A committed and passionate approach to working with students with SEND.
