About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Castle Hill High School, a special school for students with significant and complex needs. As a KS4 SEN English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching GCSE and Entry Level English to our students, who have Education Health and Care Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach GCSE and Entry Level English to students with complex needs
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all students
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and improve teaching practices
  • Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced education that furthers the inclusive character of our school
Requirements
  • Proven experience of teaching English to students with special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment methods
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
