Aviva is seeking a skilled Data Architect Leader to drive the company's data strategy and architecture.

As a key member of the Data Architecture team, you will play a crucial role in building Aviva's market data strategies to deliver global ambitions for data-driven competitive advantages. This includes providing views, designs, and leadership needed to optimise the value of data.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills as you will lead on driving the roadmap with strong awareness of business opportunities and constraints, define data products, and advise on how the business utilises these efficiently. You will also engage with senior leadership to convey the opportunities available from data, support data innovation, and guide the prioritisation of development to build the best business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing data architecture strategy and execution in large organisations like Aviva, particularly in Financial Services. A track-record of defining data roadmaps with a 5 to 10-year horizon that balances known and anticipated business needs alongside enabling simplification is essential.

Key skills required include making highly sophisticated decisions that consider multiple factors, influencing through building positive relationships, and strong communication adapted to the audience environment, drivers, and needs. Additionally, expertise in all things data, including lifecycle, technologies, data-patterns, insights, analytics, machine learning, master and reference data management, integration, data warehousing, NoSQL, data quality, metadata, and data compliance is necessary.

A Snowflake experience and certification would be advantageous, as well as knowledge of core platform technologies including AWS.
