Job Description

The Senior SAP SCM Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing SAP product-based solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will work alongside the programme management and delivery teams ensuring that solutions align and integrate within contracted technical specifications and NTT DATA/client IT strategy to deliver the intended and expected results.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Engage closely with customers as well as NTT DATA sales, business development and delivery teams to assist in the translation of business requirements into a solution that takes advantage of the most appropriate SAP products and propose a solution architecture to deliver the customer requirements.
  • Collaboratively compile statements of work to support any stage of the sales and deal review processes.
  • Lead and co-ordinate integrated workshops with detail and complexity at Director level.
  • Deliver roadmap sessions to customers, ensuring that through the design and lifecycle of the project customers are clear on the journey to leveraging value from their SAP solution platform.
  • Identify technologies to employ and architect solution strategies that successfully deliver required customer and prospect outcomes whilst advising and working closely with NTT DATA programme management and technical delivery teams to ensure conversion to a successful and profitable project.
  • Provide thought leadership and participate in industry forums, conduct roadshows, seminars, blog and participate in marketing activities to promote SAP technology and solutions to NTT DATA customer and prospects. Work with the Chief Technology Officer to evolve the NTT DATA technology strategy including the identification and evaluation of third-party partners and products.
  • Act as the design authority on the projects in which your area of expertise forms a significant element of the overall solution and generate consulting revenue from such activities.
  • Be a primary problem solver, focusing on reviewing and defining architectures, working across multiple complex customer projects. Provide quality assurance across a range of projects where not directly engaged.
  • Adhering to the agreed NTT DATA strategy, engage in self-directed and other learning to keep pace with new technologies and developments to ensure NTT DATA remains at the forefront of the market within which we operate. Share, use and communicate expert knowledge in order to develop others and make business processes more effective.
  • Recognise potential for repeat and extended business with respect to the end-to-end service offering by NTT DATA and provide comprehensive input. Support NTT DATA to grow our business by being alert to the customer opportunities that present themselves, including development and escalation of NTT DATA IP opportunities, as appropriate.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
