As a Data Architect Leader, you will be responsible for upholding and implementing standards and practices established for data architecture, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide expert advice on best practices in data modelling. Your role will involve producing data artefacts that meet organisational standards, working closely with solution architects and technology colleagues to design solutions that align with our data architecture principles. Additionally, you will partner with Business Analysts and Data Engineers to understand data requirements and constraints, developing data patterns and designs that support organisational services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Architecture: Utilise the corporate data architecture (CDM) as the blueprint for the organisation's Data Research Platform, ensuring the CDA team effectively supports organisational projects.
  • Data Architecture Support: Provide data architecture support to various projects and initiatives across the organisation, such as the Golden Thread project.
  • Data Consultancy and Training: Offer data architecture consultancy and training to services within the organisation as needed.
  • Educate and Mentor Team Members: Educate and mentor team members, imparting advanced ontological and data architectural knowledge.

About You

You are an excellent communicator, adept at translating business requirements into data designs. As a seasoned Data Architect with practitioner-level experience in setting and developing data standards and structures, you are well-versed in designing appropriate metadata repositories and can coordinate the team to investigate problems, implement solutions, and take preventive measures. Your keen understanding of Taxonomy, Ontology, and the Zachman Framework enables you to provide valuable insights and expertise to the team.

Competitive Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus one of the best pension schemes available and a highly flexible working model that champions work/life balance, including hybrid working (2 days in the office per week).
