About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Residential Children's Services team at Polaris Community. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our children's home and providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Manage and lead a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare and achieve positive outcomes for young people.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the needs of young people are met and that the residential home runs smoothly and effectively at all times.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Children's Home Manager and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Good overall standard of education and a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior and experience of working with outside agencies, other professionals, parents, and families.
  • Skills: Excellent report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with excellent administration and IT skills, and able to relate to young people with empathy.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Up to £35,213.36 per annum.
  • On-Call Payments: £10 for weekday (Monday to Friday) and £50 for Saturday and Sunday.
