Job Summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Support Worker to join our team in Lydney, Gloucestershire. As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and individual needs.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture and environment in the residential homes.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements

  • Completed Level 3 QCF in Children & Young People is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a healthcare or social care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A full driver's license is required, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 21.
  • You must be able to commute to Lydney, Gloucestershire.
