Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, working on our expanding portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful delivery of projects to agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
- Develop and implement project strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Identify and manage potential contractual and commercial risks to the company.
- Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing project team.
- Ensure safety is prioritized throughout project delivery.
- Facilitate communication and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Develop and manage project delivery programmes and plans.
- Close out projects on completion, capturing lessons learned and disseminating best practices.
- Chartered Engineer or Architect with experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects.
- Experience across a range of construction projects, including infrastructure and building projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team, demonstrating good leadership qualities.
- Experience with various construction contracts, including NEC3 and NEC4.
- Skilled in preparing project documentation, including scope definition papers, project execution plans, and risk registers.
- Experience in managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives, with knowledge of programming and earned value techniques.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D modelling tools.
- Customer-focused with excellent client relationship management skills.
