We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, working on our expanding portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful delivery of projects to agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
- Develop and implement project strategies to achieve objectives, working closely with the Design Director.
- Identify and manage potential contractual and commercial risks, escalating issues to the Project Director as necessary.
- Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing project team, providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Ensure safety is prioritized throughout project delivery.
- Facilitate communication and coordination with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage project delivery programmes and plans.
- Closing out projects on completion, capturing lessons learned, and disseminating best practices.
- Chartered Engineer or Architect with experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects.
- Experience across a range of construction projects, with a strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC3/NEC4.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools, with an understanding of information attributes and management.
- Customer-focused with excellent client relationship management skills.
