About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Design Engineer to join our Transportation team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Lighting Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical consultancy and design support for multi-disciplinary and exterior lighting projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support for lighting design and consultancy services.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to develop innovative low-carbon lighting solutions.
  • Support the development of technical solutions, reports, and project management.
  • Ensure all work is delivered to a high level of quality and professionalism.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff.
  • Promote the benefits of sustainable lighting solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in delivering exterior lighting and electrical solutions.
  • Ability to apply lighting standards and experience to deliver client requirements.
  • Proficiency in discipline-related design software, including AutoCAD and BIM-related plugins.
  • Experience with National Highways (NH) and/or local authority requirements.
  • Ability to support the discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Ability to understand key client drivers and propose innovative low-carbon solutions.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with clients and contractors.
  • Experience in undertaking daytime and night-time lighting surveys and assessments.
