About the Role
As a Corporate Credit Risk Management Specialist, you will work closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement credit risk management strategies that align with Shell's business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to review and analyze credit submissions from front office teams, providing recommendations to approvers based on your expertise in credit risk management.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct critical reviews of credit submissions, ensuring compliance with Shell's credit policy and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with front office teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective credit risk management practices.
- Collaborate with credit partners to gather information and insights necessary for informed credit decision-making.
- Own and maintain Shell Energy UK's credit policy and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with Shell group credit policy and financial guidelines.
- Manage external credit assessment and trade credit insurance partners, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Monitor and flag potential company failures to senior management, working closely with front office teams to navigate contractual terms and minimize risk.

Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the energy industry.
- Strong understanding of corporate structures, financial statements, and credit agency ratings.
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in credit risk modeling techniques and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
- Degree-level education and/or relevant professional qualification.
- Network of professional relationships within the financial, legal, and corporate communities.
