Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Marex. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit analysis of clients and counterparties across various industries.

About the Role:

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of clients and counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, individuals, CCPs, and state-owned enterprises.
  • Monitor global macro-economic trends and assess their impact on credit risk assessments.
  • Develop well-researched recommendations for credit facilities, working closely with the Head of Credit, Head of Risk, CRO, and Credit Committee.
  • Interact with clients on a domestic and international basis, providing expert advice on credit-related matters.
  • Manage the credit facility application/review process for assigned clients.
  • Contribute to enhancing existing and implementing new credit risk policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable understanding of corporate financial statement analysis, preferably gained through investment banking or institutional brokerage experience.
  • Strong track record in forming well-researched conclusions on credit assessments, including internally modelled credit ratings and recovery potential in the event of default.
  • Understanding of credit risk inherent in granting credit facilities to cover margin requirements for futures and options.
  • University graduate or relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word required.
  • Additional language skills desirable.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
