We are seeking a highly skilled Trading Product Control Analyst to join our team at NatWest Markets. As a key member of our Commercial & Institutional business, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our ledger.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review daily P&L and monthly balance sheet reports for our trading desks, ensuring accurate financial positions and key business drivers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, delivering high-quality financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting outputs.
- Comply with relevant policies and procedures, and identify and escalate any control weaknesses or issues.
- Undertake reconciliations, accounting, and control activities to support the ledger close, reconciliation, substantiation, and reporting.
- Support change initiatives, process improvements, and system implementations, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
- Prepare month-end accounting, including journal preparation, reviews, and account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate process or system issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Support systems testing, including user acceptance testing and system or process improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Experience in core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory, and management reporting.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards and experience of delivering change in a financial services environment.
- Ability to identify, build, and enhance key relationships at a senior level, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-business impact, including intercompany and contra account usage requirements and intercompany reconciliations and substantiation.
