Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Protection and Control Equipment Specialist to join our team at Luminant Generation Company LLC. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting protection and control equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of electricity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and calibrate protection and control equipment, including protective relays, instrument transformers, and meters.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues with plant protection and control equipment using schematics and technical expertise.
  • Document all projects, fieldwork, and equipment updates in a meticulous and detailed manner.
  • Install upgrades and maintain diverse technical expertise in plant protection relaying and associated control circuits.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on electrical equipment to identify and resolve potential issues.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology (power industry focus preferred) with 4 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and respond to call-outs.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in variable conditions, including climbing, lifting, and working in extreme temperatures.
