Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Protection and Control Technician Senior to join our team at Luminant Generation Company LLC in Midlothian, Texas. This critical role plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our Fossil Generation Facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and calibrate protection and control equipment to ensure safe and efficient production of electricity.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues with plant protection and control equipment using schematics and technical expertise.
  • Document all projects, fieldwork, and equipment updates in a meticulous and detailed manner.
  • Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and install upgrades for all plant protection relaying and associated control circuits.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest equipment configurations and revise associated drawings accordingly.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on electrical equipment to identify and resolve potential issues.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology (power industry focus preferred) with 4 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and respond to call-outs.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in variable conditions, including climbing, lifting, and working in extreme temperatures.
