Job Description: Ledger Assistant

Pertemps Recruitment is hiring a Ledger Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales and purchase ledgers, maintaining client relationships, and providing top-notch customer service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate records and timely submissions
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, responding to their queries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Prepare weekly debtors and creditors reports, identifying and addressing discrepancies
  • Collect information from clients before submitting accounts and address their inquiries
  • Process client payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure correct invoice processing and client query resolution through mailbox management
  • Perform monthly debtor aging and manage income distribution schedules and bank transfers
  • Liaise with consultants' secretaries to obtain necessary documents and information
  • Communicate with insurance providers to retrieve overdue remittance advices when needed
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and diligent individual with a strong work ethic
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
