Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Ledger Specialist to join our team in Central Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and reconcile ledgers monthly, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project documentation and ensure that invoices and documents are accurately reflected in the ledger.
  • Support the Senior International Accounts Officer with cash-flow analysis and processing inter-company expenses.
  • Handle bank queries and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain professional development and assist with additional tasks as required.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance, with working towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW qualifications.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills, organisational efficiency, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial details clearly.
  • The ability to solve unexpected issues independently.
  • Good business acumen and experience with complex accounting systems is desirable.
