Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Payable Administrator to join our team as an Accounts Payable Assistant. This is a full-time office-based role, working Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum.

About the Job:

  1. Process purchase ledger invoices onto the system, ensuring accurate coding to the nominal ledger.
  2. Manage payment runs through Sage and the bank, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Handle ad hoc payment requests, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  4. Reconcile monthly credit card statements, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  5. Collaborate with departments to resolve supplier queries and discrepancies, delivering exceptional customer service.
  6. Enter bank payments and interest charges into Sage, maintaining accurate records.

Your Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in accounts, particularly purchase ledger.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
