About the role

Ecclesiastical Insurance, part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Development Account Manager to cover the South West Region and drive commercial insurance growth.

The successful candidate will proactively manage and develop broker relationships within a panel to generate sustainable and profitable growth through new business and retention.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining successful contact strategies for each broker, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support customer outcomes, and engaging with colleagues across Ecclesiastical UK to leverage business relationships.

Key responsibilities
  • Broker Relationship Development: Build and maintain successful contact strategies for each broker, ensuring a high-quality sales process and long-term outlook.
  • Customer Support: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of great customer outcomes.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Engage with colleagues across Ecclesiastical UK to leverage business relationships and ensure agreed strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Business Growth: Act within Ecclesiastical's risk appetite to target, win, and retain business in core market sectors, delivering profitable growth in line with plan through prospecting, planning, and delivering agreed activity levels.
  • Renewal Process: Support the renewal process, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
Knowledge, skills and experience
  • Strong track record in commercial insurance sales within the UK market.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns and ability to identify opportunities.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets.
  • Proactive with a desire to continuously improve.
  • Cert CII or commitment to achieve within an agreed timescale.
  • Appropriate IT and data skills, including Microsoft suite.
  • Effective and appropriate communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service as an individual and team member.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and data protection.
